How to ensure you never forget another Show Jumping Course! PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 22 June 2011 09:58

First things first.  When you arrive at the show, check to see if there is a plan of the course on display outside the ring.  If not, try to imagine the jumps as they would appear if you looked down from above and memorise the general pattern in relation to the arena boundary.

At the lower levels, courses are often built on a figure of eight, which is easy to remember, but as they get more complicated, you may still be able to break down the route into rough sections such as an arc, loop, dog leg, double back and so on.....

Want 18 more great tips on how to remember the course?

Read the full article in the July 2011 issue of Central Horse News, published today and in store from 25th June.
