BACK ON TRACK® Announces New Sponsorship with Michael, Maria and Maya Eilberg

Posted on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 by Sasha Melia

Back on Track are delighted to announce their new partnership with international British dressage riders Michael Eilberg, Maria Eilberg and Maya Eilberg, based near Redditch in Worcestershire.

With somewhat of a dressage pedigree, the family are renowned as world-class riders and trainers who have competed at the highest levels. In 2010, Maria won silver at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, USA.  In 2018, Maya was placed fourth at the NAF Five Star Winter Championships, whilst in 2014 and 2015, Michael achieved silver at both the World Equestrian Games in Caen and the Continental Championships at Aachen.  The Eilbergs certainly understand the importance of keeping both themselves and their horses in peak condition.

With this in mind, the symbiotic relationship between horse and rider that Back On Track supports, particularly appeals to the trio.  Back on Track have developed their infra-red mineral-infused fabric, Welltex™ into a range of market leading garments and accessories to support circulation, suppleness and aid muscle recovery before and after exercise, with products for humans, horses and dogs.

“It’s fantastic to be working with Michael, Maria and Maya and a wonderful opportunity for Back On Track to support not only British dressage riders, but to watch the family produce the next generation of top dressage horses” said Georgia Keegan, Sales Manager for Back on Track UK.

“Having used some Back On Track products in the past, I was very impressed, particularly by the concept behind the ceramic particles used for the benefit of suppleness and circulation” says Michael. “All of the products are extremely well made and built to last.  It’s also very satisfying knowing that the products you need to use on a daily basis, are simultaneously providing a benefit to the horses’ wellbeing.”

Michael finds it hard to choose his favourite products, but two that he singles out for the horses include the Royal Quick Wrap Boots, which he uses as stable boots, and the faux-fur lined 3D Mesh Brush Boots.

The technical properties of the fabrics are key when it comes to supporting the horses’ wellbeing.  “The horses are much happier and easier to warm up and get started whilst exercising when using these products due to muscles and joints being supple and ready to perform. In addition, they also provide great comfort to the horses during periods of rest”.

The Hock Brace Hole Boots (left and right) are firm favourites of Maya’s.  “Usually with this joint, it’s really hard to get the balance right between them being comfortable for the horse whilst also staying in place” she says.  “The Back On Track Hock Boots are by far the best we have ever used, and my horse has been much more forward going since wearing these”.

Michael continues to use the Back On Track products for himself alongside the horses.  “I have used the Boxer Shorts and Long Johns and found the latter great for my recent hip surgery. During my recovery, I spent long days teaching in the cold and they really helped to keep me warm and I felt much less stiff getting up to move around after sitting for long periods of time. I wore a pair as pyjamas for sleeping in overnight!” Maria is also a fan of the underwear products, opting for the Carol Panties and Long Johns as her must-haves. “Comfort is essential” says Maria, “and it all starts with the right underwear. Even my dog Lottie is enjoying the benefits of Back On Track with her Multi-Season Rug!”.

The Back on Track range offers clothing and accessories for horses, humans and dogs to support suppleness throughout muscles and joints.  For more information, to download a copy of our brochure or find a local stockist, visit www.backontrack.com/uk.
