Rockingham International Horse Trials sponsored by King West had grown in size this year, with many added events and entertainments. The riders loved the going on the XC course which rode very well. Luxury watchmakers Loomes & Co of Stamford again donated a £9,500 watch to the rider nearest the optimum time in the OI and AI sections. There was a nail biting few moments when Sarah Cohen on Treason, followed swiftly by Mark Todd on NZB Campino, scored the exact same time of 5 mins 6 secs (optimum time was 5 mins 8 secs) so it went down to the collective marks in the dressage, with Mark Todd just winning with a 61 (Sarah was on 59.5).
The Eventing Commentary dream team of Spencer Sturmey, Henry Symington and Clare Prentice were in attendance over the weekend and gave everyone a hugely entertaining commentary.
