New Retail Shop for Country and Stable of Olney

Finally Olney has a country and equestrian retailer again! It comes in the form of a quaint little shop just off of the market square at 6 The Galleries.

Country and Stable of Olney specialise in country and equestrian wear for you and your horse. Originally they only traded online but after their success have opened a shop in Olney at 6 The Galleries.

They stock Ariat, Toggi, Musto, Pikeur, Horseware Ireland and Le Chameau wellington boots. For horses they stock a wide range of Horseware of Ireland Rugs and Eskadron accessories. Their most recent brand is Jack Murphy which prides itself on irresistible Irish clothing that fuses timeless country styles with a modern twist to help you get the most out of the great British countryside.

You can purchase from www.countryandstable.co.uk online as well as in the shop or call their friendly customer services team on 0800 054 2205 to place an order. If there is something that catches your eye online and you live in the surrounding area you can use the collection service, you just need to phone their friendly customer service team with your order. If you decide to collect your item you won’t have to pay postage and can view your item in the shop before you buy. If ordering online standard postage is free on any order over £39.

If you visit the shop you can also be entered into their monthly competition to win £100 to spend in store or online. There is no catch! All you have to do is visit the shop and their friendly manager Trish will enter your details for a chance to win.

Bicester Riding Club win Area 6 Liaison Trophy

Bicester Riding Club members were celebrating after their first big win for the club by becoming the overall winners of The British Riding Clubs Area 6 Liaison Trophy Competition which was held at Berkshire College of Agriculture on 6th April 2014.

The competition consists of four phases including dressage, show jumping, cross country and a trail ride.  Each of the team members takes part in two of the phases.  This competition is intended as a confidence building event in which Clubs in Area 6 may enter teams in each of the four phases.

The team included; Jenny Fenton, Louise Bull, Jackie Card, Alex Barter, Lauren Harrold, Jane Bird, Anna-Marie O’Hanlon, Michele Gregory, and Sarah Pettit who stepped in at the last minute to replace one of the team members who’s horse was badly affected by the surface’s sand particles.

Team Manager & Chairman, Emma Richardson-Steele said ‘This was a genuine novice team, an amazing result and our first big win for Bicester Riding Club’.

Bicester Riding Club was started just four years ago and has gone from strength to strength and now has a membership base of over 150.  They ran a team last year at the prestigeous Blenheim Horse Trials Riding Club Challenge and hope to enter a team again this year.
