Philippe Karl, the respected rider, trainer, author and former Écuyer of the Cadre Noir formed the School of Légèreté (Lightness) in 2004 in order to pass on his philosophy of riding and training to future generations.

The first ever UK-based ‘Teachers’ Course’ of School of Légèreté began at The Holistic Equitation Centre in January 2011. Until now, these clinics have been open only to auditors who committed to attending the entire programme of 10 clinics.

Since the current riders are nearing the end of their basic training course and a new course will be starting in 2014, Philippe Karl now wishes to give interested spectators the opportunity to see what the School of Légèreté has to offer to horses and their riders.  With that in mind, he has agreed to open the doors of the next clinic to any interested spectators. The open clinic will run from Monday 16th to Thursday 19th December 2013. A limited number of spectator tickets are now available.

During the 4 days of the clinic you will have the opportunity to see the current UK students of the school training their own horses under Monsieur Karl’s tuition, and meet other like-minded people who, as auditors of the current course, have followed the development of these horses and riders from the beginning.

You may attend the December clinic for any number of days but Philippe Karl strongly recommends attending for as many days as possible in order to be able to see how each horse and rider combination progresses during their lessons.
