Greatwood 20th Anniversary Open Day

As the original racehorse welfare charity, Greatwood remains the only organisation that uses ex-racehorses to educate children and young people with special educational needs.
On Sunday 2nd June, Greatwood will be opening the gates to the public to celebrate our 20th Anniversary; it is set to be a fantastic day including the official opening of the Sensory Garden (in association with the Wiltshire Blind) by Andy Deacon ex Gloucester RFC, England A & Barbarian as well as a five-a-side celebrity football match, a dog show, an urban dance display plus a plethora of entertainment for the whole family no matter how young or old!
Calling All Children – Come and Meet Your Favourite Characters
It’s Hero Time with Ben 10 – ‘One kid, all kinds of superhero’ plus everybody’s favourite – Buzz Lightyear – “To infinity … and beyond!”
For the younger of our visitors – Get on board the Ninky Nonk and meet Iggle Piggle, leaving the magical world of the Night Garden for one day to visit Greatwood.

Celebrity Football Match – the five-a-side game will see Ady Williams, former Wales international footballer, taking the pitch once more along with other famous racing faces such as Derby winning jockey Martin Dwyer.

Canine Capers Dog Show – classes include ‘Prettiest Bitch’ – sponsored by David Dudley Jewellery; ‘Best Condition’ – sponsored by Basils Dog Food; ‘Best Rehomed Dog or Bitch’ – sponsored by Devizes Textiles; ‘The Dog That The Judge Would Most Like To Take Home’- sponsored by Divine Café, Cherill; ‘Most Handsome Dog’ – sponsored by Macs Pets; Child Handler (16yrs and under) – sponsored by WELpets; and ‘Best Family Dog – sponsored by Comfy Critters.
