Remember what you were doing over Easter?  Good Friday 2013 saw another successful Easter Show Jumping competition hosted by Hall Place Equestrian Centre, Reading.

The first class, Minimus Jumping, was won by 8yr old Louise McDonald with her 12hh pony Bubblegum. Louise brought two ponies to the show and came 3rd in the Chicks Challenge with her second ride Star.

Southerly Roberts took first, second and third place in the 2’0 Bunny Hop. Southerly rode Connemara, Joey, to first place, was placed second with 17hh warmblood, Fizz and took third place with Georgio, a 12.2hh Welsh B. She said ‘This show was great for the young horses and its lovely that it stayed dry!’ Southerly, from Winchfield, teaches members of the Vine, Garth South and Craven Pony Clubs and has to make sure she does well when competing alongside her pupils!

Regular competitor at Hall Place Sarah McCouid and her mare Jessie were the winners of Class 3, 2’3 Chicks Challenge. Sarah also took first place with pairs relay partner Carley Sullivan riding her skewbald pony Sprite, in the Daffodil Dash – a fun class for both competitors and spectators.
