Readers’ Letters: Equitility Show Jumping League

Posted on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 by Heather Dodd

Dear CHN

My name is Megan Prosser and I am 13 years old. I won the Equitility Overall League Championship and the 65cm League Championship in 2012 on my pony Mr Moomin.

When i started the Equitility League in February of that year, I decided to do the 65cm class to give my pony some confidence. I was surprised when I won and it was so nice to receive 2 rosettes and a medal.

Throughout the series of shows I won 4 times, came 2nd once, 3rd once and 5th once. By the final, I was in the lead and only had to jump double clear to win the 65cm section. I was so happy when I  found out that I’d also won Overall Champion.

I won an Equitility jump training banner which has been jumped lots of times! The shows have given me and Mr Moomin so much confidence and experience and they were so much fun. The courses are so nice to jump and I’m definitely planning to take part again.
