Winner of our September In the Ribbons column is Sarah Cotton with her Shetland Hookerswell Digger, who was 1st Reserve Champion at the Trailblazers Showing Championships on 27th July 2014. Sarah is pictured alongside her daughter Rebecca Mudd on Broughton MacMillan, who took the Working Hunter over 14.2hh Reserve Championship. Photo by kind permission of Real Time Imaging.
Sarah will receive a prize from one of our sponsors, Harry Hall and Tottie Clothing. She is just one of the riders who submitted a photo for our online feature which will be published each month on our website and e-newsletter.
Also featured in our September column is Lisa Mundie who writes: “This is my mum’s warmblood mare Eric’s Amazing Grace (stable name Gracie). She’s 5 yrs old and currently being broken. This picture, taken by our friend Julie Smith, is of Gracie winning the overall Coloured Championship at High Horse Show held at Gracelands. Mum would be so proud to see Gracie in What’s On, especially as it was her birthday on 16th August. I’d like to say a big thank you to her for everything she does for me and my son Henley – who loves to cheer her on at all the shows.”
Have you been ‘In the Ribbons’ recently?
To celebrate your success by getting your photo featured, simply send a photo of yourself and your horse at a current season show or event (any type), holding or wearing your 1st place rosette, along with show name, date, and name of horse and rider. It’s simplest to get a friend or relative to take a snap of you at the event, but make sure the picture quality is clear and the filesize is at least 1MB to ensure publication quality. Professional photographs MUST include the photographer’s permission in writing for it to be used online for this purpose.
You could win a prize from www.tottie.co.uk or www.harryhall.co.uk. There will be a monthly prize draw from those submitting ‘In the Ribbons’ entries, and the winner of the prize draw will be featured in the next issue of CHN’s printed magazine too!
So, get sending your photos to [email protected] with ‘In the Ribbons’ in the subject line!
*Prize designs will vary from month to month.
