Swallowfield April Trailblazers Qualifier

Swallowfield EC in Lapworth hosted their Trailblazers second round show on Saturday 27th April with some high scoring combinations going though to the finals at Stonleigh. Rosettes and prizes were kindly sponsored by Corner House Equine clinic, with each top placed rider in each section receiving an equine goodie’ bag.

The Prelim section was won by Jo Hayward and Wesley scoring a huge 79.61%. The junior section was won by Swallowfield’s Megan Cush riding Hayhill Summer Sky with 65.41% .

Winner of the Novice on Showgirl, Claire Marston

The novice class was won by Claire Marston riding Showgirl, scoring 71.78%, and second place with a joint 70% was Swallowfield’s Simone Morgan and Milly and Emma Peach and Victor.

The junior novice section was won by another Swallowfield rider, Anne Sophie Gilson and Basantos with 68.92%.

The elementary section went to 3 Swallowfield riders, 1st place came Paddy Cush riding Laxton Painted Just Basil with 68.21%, and second place went to Stacey Read with DHI Apparto with 65.71%, and .36% behind in third place came Simone and Milly again with 65.35%. Stacey managed to gain three qualifying places for Stonleigh with Jelly Tot and Parto.

The Magnificent Seven’ Anne Sophie Gilson, Simone Morgan, Sarah McCandrew Stacey Read, Paddy and Megan Cush.

Ten qualified riders were are all trained by Jo Swain, a UKCC level 3 Brirish Dressage coach and BYRDS coach based at Swallowfield EC.
