Mountain Horse is delighted to announce sponsorship of four star event rider Imogen Gloag.

The 23-year-old rider from Chipping Norton will be supported by the family-owned Swedish company with clothing, boots and leatherwork.

The company’s head of international marketing Catherina Brolund, said: “We’ve been looking for another UK-rider to support and Imogen ticks all the right boxes, especially as she already wears and loves our Mountain Horse boots.

“She’s hugely talented and it is a joy to watch the wonderful bond she has with her horses and we are very much looking to supporting her career now and in the future.”

Imogen said: “It was so out of the blue when Mountain Horse approached me and so nice. Mountain Horse is my first clothing sponsor so it’s very exciting for me. I wear the Opus boots every day for competing and riding in so I already know the brand and I love it!”

This year she made her first appearance at the Mitsubishi Badminton Horse Trials on the same horse completing with just one unlucky run out.

“It was an amazing experience. I’ve ridden at two Burghleys before but riding at Badminton was completely different and I’d love to go back. It was fantastic,” she said.

Now currently on the side lines after breaking her leg at Little Downham, Imogen is hopeful to be fit in time for another go at Burghley and would also like to ride on a Nations Cup team this year.

“I always wanted to compete professionally since I started British Eventing in 2008 and I’ve been professional since I finished school at 18. My aim is to be selected on to British teams my ultimate goal to ride at the Olympic Games,” said Imogen.

Imogen will be fully kitted out in Mountain Horse clothing, and will receive a complete new wardrobe twice a year from the spring/summer and autumn/winter collections. This year the company celebrates is 30th anniversary and is commemorating the milestone with a series of events including the unveiling of a 100% British made wax jacket which will be launched in the autumn.
