Posted on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 by Heather Dodd

The BRC NAF Introductory Championships 2022 took place last weekend on Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 October at Bury Farm Equestrian Village in Buckinghamshire.

We were delighted to have NAF sponsor our inaugural Introductory Championship & Quadrille Of The Year. We were fortunate to have Eloise Chugg-Martin sponsorship manager from NAF attend the championships to be on hand over the weekend to give out rosettes, sashes and prizes.

Following a fantastic weekend at Bury Farm for the inaugural Introductory Championships, Eloise Chugg-Martin, Sponsorship and Events Manager for NAF, said ‘The Introductory Championships is a great opportunity for those members who may never have competed for their club before, and those starting out on their Championships journey working up through the levels of Dressage.

It has been fantastic to meet and share the experience with Members who have qualified for and attended their first championships. There was a lovely atmosphere and huge congratulations to our very first Introductory Champions!’

The Introductory Championship comprised of teams of four riding tests at either intro or prelim level and also featured an intro pairs class with pairs being made up of any combination of junior and senior riders

The quadrille returned this year with a bang, seeing 13 teams performing, which was double the number of teams from 2021. There were experienced teams & complete newcomers displaying some fantastic outfits, show stopping performances and thrilling music combinations. It was a night filled with laughter & smiles and we look forward to what next year has in store.

After her first experience at the Quadrille Championships, Eloise Chugg-Martin, Sponsorship and Events Manager for NAF, said ‘Wow, what an experience, our first time sponsoring the Quadrille certainly became a highlight of the year. Congratulations to every member and their support team, from the floor plans to the incredible costumes, music choices and hours of preparation and practice you should all be incredibly proud of your achievements.

Certainly a competition like no other we were treated to an evening of true British Riding Clubs Team Spirit under the lights of Bury Farm and we are sure that we will see our worthy winners next year to defend their title.
