Chiltern Riding Club Early Summer Competitions at Grove Farm

Chiltern Riding Club and Grove Farm Equestrian started off the summer competitions together with some BS Club Show Jumping on the 25th May. This show was the last chance to get those clears before the 2012/13 members’ points season ended. We managed a dry day and even saw some sunshine.
The classes were split into Juniors and Seniors, the first of which was a 60cms Horse section won by Sammy ridden by Kat Clarke. The Pony Section at this height was won by Toby ridden by Sophie Carte
Further classes were headed up as follows:
70cm Open Horses: Izzy Fuzzle on Hero
70cm Open Ponies: Lottie Aird on Casper
80cm Open Horses: Izzy Fuzzle on Hero
80cm Open Ponies: Lottie Aird on Casper
90cm Open Horses: Sarah Ball on Tiny Toes
1m Open Horses: Sarah Ball on Tiny Toes

The Combined Training Show ran on the 16th June and though we didn’t miss the rain, fortunately we didn’t get the torrential storms which were forecast. The show jumping took place on the sand arena, with the dressage on grass. This meant competitors got the benefit of the grass show jumping ring to warm up in which was a lovely gesture by the venue and appreciated by all.

P12: Juliet Tranter on Maus.
P12 CT: Verity Smiith on Chocolate Button
P12/N34: Nicky Kauert on Arend
P14 CT: Florence Dighton on Hector
P4/N30 CT: Florence Dighton on Hector
Arend and Nicky Kauert, 1st in the P14/N34 combined % Class
Kellie Pether on Comet, 2nd in the P14/N34 combined % Class
Amelia Dighton on Blue
