Eventing Roundup 2014: Barbury International Horse Trials, 3 – 6 July 2014

Barbury International commenced on the Thursday with the BYEH and local Nicky Roncoroni was 5th in the 4 Year Old class with Monbeg Medlar, in his first outing – and finished on the Sunday with another local Andrew Nicholson completing a hat trick of wins in the CIC*** on Avebury.  The weather turned out better than forecast, making the unique XC course look splendid.  There was great entertainment on Saturday afternoon with the JCB Champions Challenge. The Jump Jockeys (John Francome, Sam Twiston-Davies, Dickie Johnson and Noel Fehily), finishing in the lead.  Local Paul Tapner and Inishmor won The Retraining of Racehorses trophy on Sunday morning.
