THERE was much to celebrate for the team from Harthill Stud when the legendary stallion Ramiro B and his son Cushlas Reviro met with a lot of attention at the Competition Stallions Showcase.

Ramiro B added yet another award to his long list of achievements, as well as being ranked number four on the WBFSH sire rankings for eventing stallions this year, at the Competition Stallions Showcase he won an award for being the Sire of the Winning Futurity Foal from 2017.

Harthill Stud owner, Nina Barbour said: “We had so much interest in Ramiro B throughout the day and his seven-year-old son, Cushlas Reviro who coped really well show jumping in front of the crowds.

“Ramiro B remains a huge part of Harthill Stud and is responsible for so many of the success stories and youngsters we, and our clients have bred.

“Cushlas Reviro is out of a Hermes de Reve mare and I am very much enjoying jumping and producing him, he shows a lot of talent.  He was campaigned successfully last year by Anthony Condon achieving consistent results in six-year-old 1.25m – 1.30m classes.”

The 2018 Competition Stallions Showcase at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre was a great success with an exceptional turn out.

The show allowed mare owners and the wider public to see stallions in the flesh encouraging them to assess their quality and conformation and ultimately determine if they would complement their mare.

For the 2018 season Ramiro B is standing at Stallion AI Services who brought along some of the top stallions in the UK.

Added Nina: “Having the opportunity to see the stallions perform in the arena as well as having access to the stable area is a great way of showing both stallions and their progeny to those visiting.

“It was wonderful to see Ramiro B and Cushlas Reviro drawing such a great crowd  when they were paraded in the arena.”

Mare owners came to see Ramiro B and his progeny, asking many questions including what he passes onto his offspring. He is an outstanding dual-purpose stallion for both eventing and show jumping and is well known for improving the temperament of difficult mares.

Ramiro B has a stud fee of £950 plus VAT offering fresh, chilled or frozen semen.
